(Horses On Line Leading Youth)
YOUTH EQUINE ASSISTED LEARNING PROGRAM
HELPING YOUTH FACE CHALLENGES THAT THEY FACE TODAY
Children should never leave this world before their parents!
The H.O.L.L.Y. Project is in honour of my daughter’s best friend, Holly, who we lost in 2018.
The H.O.L.L.Y. Project is an acronym for Horses On Line Leading Youth. We created this program for all youth in hopes of shining some light on their struggles and offer them some tools to deal with anxiety and depression.
We are an Equine Assisted Learning Facility that teaches youth life skills through ground exercises with an objective, where the horses are the teachers.
Our horses are rescues that cannot be ridden so this is a perfect opportunity for them to have a new lease on life and reconnect with people that honour and respect them spiritually, mentally and physically.
HEART Retreat is the soft place for our rescue horses to land and they offer their support to our youth community. We fund and care for 12 rescue animals, 9 horses and 3 donkeys. Horses are amazing teachers and support our youth community by teaching them valuable life skills. Our youth have an opportunity to learn self-confidence, self-esteem, trust, teamwork and how to problem solve, all from the guidance of one of our horses and our scientifically proven building block exercises created, designed and tested by Cartier Farms in Saskatchewan, Canada.
We offer a program developed by EAL - Canada called In Front of the Herd. This program will also teach youth valuable skills and support them on their wellness journey.
